Properties: Immunostimulant Antiseptic Antifungal Bactericidal It is a tree belonging to the Lauraceae family from Sri Lanka. It is a tree about 10 to 15 meters high, evergreen, taking the form of an evergreen shrub. Its bark is grayish brown. Its stem is woody in consistency and the leaves are oval and bright green on the upper side with five reddish nerves. Its flowers are hermaphroditic white or greenish yellow and covered with hairs, they are grouped in panicles that are born in the axil of the leaf. The fruit is a long ellipsoidal berry with a single seed inside.
